abstract | The present invention is directed to a method of reduction of frizz and improving hair conditioning wherein a hair treatment composition comprising a silicone emulsion with droplets having an average diameter of less than about 50 nanometers in an carrier wherein the silicone emulsion comprises a crosslinked organopolysiloxane made from various reactive compounds, wherein each compound is comprised of one or more units represented by the following general formula:n nR 1 n R 2 m R 3 p (OR 4 ) q SiO [4-(m+n+p+q)]/2 n where R 1 is morpholinomethyl having the structure: nn n n n n n n n n n R 2 is n —(CH 2 ) 3 —NH—(CH 2 ) 2 NH 2 n —(CH 2 ) 3 —NH 2 n R 3 is methyl n R 4 is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl or propyl n n is 0, 1, or 2 n m is 0, 1, or 2 n p is 0, 1, or 2 n q is 0, 1, 2 or 3 n n+m+p+q is less than or equal to 3 n and wherein the crosslinked organopolysiloxane comprises on average at least one radical R 1 per molecule and n wherein the method comprises the following steps:n a) applying the hair treatment composition to hair by spraying or spreading; b) allowing hair to dry by air or heat. |
