titleOfInvention Systems and methods for extending operation of radio-frequency power amplifiers
abstract Systems and methods for extending operation of radio-frequency (RF) power amplifiers. In some embodiments, a system for operating a battery-powered wireless device can be implemented. The system includes a boost converter capable of generating a boosted-voltage output. The system further includes a controller coupled to the boost converter and configured to generate a control signal for the boost converter to generate the boosted-voltage output under a selected condition. The system further includes a switching circuit configured to route the boosted-voltage output of the boost converter to an RF block under the selected condition. Such an RF block can include a power amplifier. Accordingly, the power amplifier can operate for a longer time when powered by a battery.
