abstract A touch input biometric apparatus for measuring and communicating biometric data of a user which in preferred embodiments may comprise a platform configured to receive the weight of a user; a touch screen display integrated into the top surface of the platform and configured to receive touch input from a user; a first and a second BIA measurement zone comprising an electrically conductive material integrated into the top surface of the platform and configured to transfer an electrical current through the body of a user, said electrically conductive material electrically coupled to a BIA sensor configured to measure electrical impedance; and a weight sensor configured to measure the weight of the user on the platform. The apparatus may display the user's weight, estimation of percent body fat, or other biometric data on the touch screen display.
