abstract There are provided an electrode material for a lithium ion secondary battery having a high discharge capacity and a high mass energy density at a low temperature or at a high-speed charge and discharge, an electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery, and a lithium ion secondary battery. An electrode material for a lithium ion secondary battery of the present invention includes an electrode active material made of LiFe x Mn 1−x−y M y PO 4 (0.220≦x≦0.350, 0.0050≦y≦0.018) in which the M is either or both of Co and Zn, the electrode material has an orthorhombic crystal structure, a space group is Pnma, values of crystal lattice constants a, b, and c satisfy 10.28 Å≦a≦10.42 Å, 6.000 Å≦b≦6.069 Å, and 4.710 Å≦c≦4.728 Å, and lattice volume V satisfies 289.00 Å 3 ≦V≦298.23 Å 3 .
