| abstract | An injection port is provided for installation on an enclosure to provide quick access for admitting a fire suppressing agent into the enclosure in the event of a fire inside the enclosure. The injection port includes a housing and an injection port cover. The housing includes a mounting plate for mounting the housing to the enclosure and a pin receptacle. The injection port cover includes a cover plate and a pin release mechanism. The pin release mechanism includes a movable pin that engages with the pin receptacle of the housing to secure the injection port cover to the housing when the injection port is in the closed position. |
