abstract This invention relates to a pipe for fluid transport that is comprised of a hollow cylinder having an outer wall and an aperture extending longitudinally through the cylinder, wherein the outer wall is comprised of (a) from about 60 weight percent to about 95 weight percent of a polyarylene sulfide resin, (b) from about 5 weight percent to about 40 weight percent of a thermoplastic vulcanizate, and (c) from about 3 weight percent to about 15 weight percent of a compatibilizer. The present invention also relates to an impact resistant polyarylene sulfide composition which is comprised of (a) from about 60 weight percent to about 95 weight percent of a polyarylene sulfide resin, (b) from about 5 weight percent to about 40 weight percent of a thermoplastic vulcanizate, and (c) from about 3 weight percent to about 15 weight percent of a compatibilizer.
