abstract A method for communication includes generating a data transmission including multiple successive parts in respective time intervals, for transmission to a target receiver. At least one jamming transmission is generated, having a configuration that varies over the respective time intervals corresponding to the parts of the data transmission, including at least first and second different configurations generated during respective first and second time intervals. The data transmission is transmitted to the target receiver using an antenna array, and the at least one jamming transmission is transmitted simultaneously using the antenna array.
