abstract A system to highlight the hair includes a device ( 10 ) and a composition ( 50 ). The device ( 10 ) includes a first portion movably joined to a second portion. Composition ( 50 ) includes a percentage of hydrogen peroxide and a percentage of an alkalizer by weight of the composition ( 50 ). The weight percentages of hydrogen peroxide and of an alkalizer are defined by equation (I): X+1.5Y≧15 (I). X is the percentage by weight of hydrogen peroxide by weight of the composition ( 50 ). Y is the percentage by weight of an alkalizer by weight of the composition ( 50 ). The composition ( 50 ) includes at least 2% of hydrogen peroxide by weight of the composition ( 50 ) and the alkalizer is an inorganic salt. The composition ( 50 ) allows to perform highlighting when applied with the device ( 10 ).
