Provided is an azo pigment represented by the following general formula (1), a tautomer of the azo pigment, and a salt or a hydrate thereof: n nwherein Q represents the non-metallic atoms necessary to complete a 5- to 7-membered heterocyclic group, W represents an alkoxy group, an amino group, an alkyl group, or an aryl group, X 1 and X 2 each independently represents a hydrogen, an alkyl group, an acyl group, an alkylsulfonyl group, or an arylsulfonyl group, R 1 represents a hydrogen or a substituent, R 2 represents a heterocyclic group, n represents an integer of from 1 to 4 and the general formula (1) represents a dimer formed through Q, W, X 1 , X 2 , R 1 , or R 2 when n=2, a trimer formed through Q, W, X 1 , X 2 , R 1 , or R 2 when n=3, and a tetramer formed through Q, W, X 1 , X 2 , R 1 , or R 2 when n=4. |
