abstract A non-contact apparatus and method detect irregular bone defects around a dental implant. Structural resonance frequency is produced and received to recognize a quality, a direction and a depth of an irregular bone defect. Thus, an interfacial osseointegration can be evaluated, and the present invention is of great help to assess osseointegration and diagnosis interfacial bone defects after the dental surgery.
