titleOfInvention | Method for prediction of high frequency reciprocating rig wear scar diameter for hydrocarbon mixtures based on mid-infrared spectroscopy |
abstract | A method is disclosed for predicting the High Frequency Reciprocating Rig (HFRR) wear scar diameter for a hydrocarbon mixture using an HFRR wear scar diameter prediction equation which predicts the HFRR wear scar diameter based on the mid-infrared spectroscopy test results for such hydrocarbon mixture. Such predicted HFRR wear scar diameter value can then be used to determine the necessity of adding a lubricity additive to a diesel material in order to produce a diesel product possessing adequate lubricity properties. |
