abstract There are provided a method of producing a polarizing plate with an optical compensation layer having excellent adhesiveness between a polarizer-protective film and a polarizer without deterioration of the optical compensation layer. The method of producing a polarizing plate with an optical compensation layer includes: laminating an optical compensation layer on one side of a polarizer-protective film via a photo-curing adhesive layer; irradiating UV light toward the other side of the polarizer-protective film by a metal halide lamp or an ultrahigh pressure mercury lamp; and laminating a polarizer on the side of the polarizer-protective film on which the optical compensation layer is not formed.
