abstract A method for preparing a ceramic powder suspension is disclosed. A dispersant having a following structural formula is provided: n n n n n n n n n n wherein D is H or COOR 1 ; R 1 is a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl group, a cyclic aliphatic group, an aryl group, having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, or a cationic salt group; R 2 is an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, a cyclic aliphatic having 1 to 10 carbon atoms or an aryl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; R 3 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; Z is an oxygen atom or an NH group; A is —COO —SO 3 or an acid form; a is an integer between 1 to 5000; and p and q are integers between 1 to 10. The dispersant is dissolved in a solvent. Ceramic powder is further added into the solvent with the dispersant.
