titleOfInvention Crosslinking agents encapsulated in polymers and methods of manufacturing the same
abstract A composition includes (a) a crosslinking agent comprising; and (b) a resin, wherein the resin is cured to form a polymer network to encapsulate the crosslinking agent. The crosslinking agent may comprises from about 10% to about 90% by weight of the composition, and the resin may comprises from about 90% to about 10% by weight of the composition. A method for controlling a rate of vulcanization includes encapsulating a crosslinking agent in a polymer network; degrading the polymer network to release the crosslinking agent in a controlled manner; and performing the vulcanization.
