abstract The present invention relates to a process for the production of potassium octoborate hydrate which comprises the dissolution of boric acid and caustic potash in an aqueous solution brought to a temperature of 95° C., the drying of the product obtained and its grinding into an amorphous powder. Potassium octoborate and its polyhydrate forms obtained are specifically suitable for use in the agronomic field.
