A novel process is described for the preparation of the active principle pantoprazole based on the use of novel intermediate compounds of general formula (I) n nwhere X is an atom of halogen and n=0 or 1, so that when n=1, the intermediate compounds are methoxylated, and when n=0 said intermediate compounds are first oxidized to n=1 and thereafter are methoxylated.n n Also described are the novel intermediates, as well as the process for the preparation thereof. |
