There are described triazine derivatives of formula (1), wherein R 1 is an unsubstituted or mono- or poly-hydroxy-, C 1 -C 18 alkyl-, C 1 -C 18 alkoxy-, amino-, C 1 -C 5 monoalkylamino- or di-C 1 -C 5 alkylamino-substituted C 1 -C 18 alkyl, C 2 -C 18 alkenyl, C 6 -C 10 aryl or C 6 -C 10 heteroaryl radical; unsubstituted or C 1 -C 5 alkyl-substituted C 5 -C 7 cycloalkyl or C 5 -C 7 cycloalkenyl; —OR′; or —NR′R″; R 2 is hydrogen; an unsubstituted or mono- or poly-hydroxy-, C 1 -C 18 alkoxy-, cyano-, amino, C 1 -C 5 monoalkylamino- or di-C 1 -C 5 alkylamino-substituted C 1 -C 18 alkyl, C 2 -C 18 alkenyl; C 6 -C 10 aryl or C 6 -C 10 heteroaryl radical; —OR′; or —NR′R″; or R 1 and R 2 together form a 5- to 7-membered carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring; A is C 1 -C 5 alkyl; an unsubstituted or hydroxy-, C 1 -C 18 alkyl- or C 1 -C 18 alkoxy-substituted C 6 -C 10 aryl or heteroaryl radical; or a radical of formula (1 a ); R′ and R″ are each independently of the other hydrogen; unsubstituted or mono- or poly-hydroxy-, halo-, C 1 -C 18 alkyl-, C 1 -C 18 alkoxy-, amino- or quaternary ammonium group-substituted C 1 -C 18 alkyl, C 5 -C 7 cycloalkyl or phenyl; R 3 is hydrogen; or C 1 -C 6 alkyl; and n is 0 or 1.
