abstract | The present invention relates to tridentate ligands and the relative complexes of these ligands with transition metals. The ligands and their complexes are useful in the oligomerization and/or polymerization of ethylene and α-olefins. The ligands are represented by formula (I) n n n wherein R 1 is ethyl, R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 and R 6 , are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, C 1 -C 10 alkyl, C 6 -C 15 aryl, and halogenated C 6 -C 15 aryl; R 7 is selected from the group consisting of H, C 1 -C 10 alkyl, and C 6 -C 15 aryl; and R 8 is selected from the group consisting of phenyl, alkyl substituted phenyl, C 1 -C 10 alkyl and C 6 -C 15 aryl. |
