Polypropylene resin pre-expanded particles having an expandability of 1.0 to 1.8 shown by the equation:wherein the expansion ratio of polypropylene resin pre-expanded particles after steam heating denotes the value obtained when heating the pre-expanded particles by steam having a temperature equal to the melting point peak temperature measured by differential scanning calorimetry of the base resin constituting the particles, the pre-expanded particles being able to be molded by various in-mold foaming methods in a shortened period of cooling time in molding to stably produce cellular molded articles having good melt adhesion of the particles and surface appearance and having uniform density in the surface and inner portions. |
