abstract A preparation process of a particulate rare earth activated alkaline earth metal fluorohalide stimulable phosphor represented by formula (1) is disclosed, wherein precursor particles of the stimulable phosphor, prepared in the liquid phase process are covered with fine particles of at least two kinds of metal oxides and then subjected to calcination. A radiation image conversion panel containing the stimulable phosphor particles is also disclosed.
