A tunneling device, which is implantable in a body, includes a flexible covering to protect a medical from contamination during the handling and implantation of the device in the body. The tunneling device of the present invention may optionally include a rigid tunneler tip that allows for attachment of the tunneling device to a tunneler instrument prior to the implantation process. |
