titleOfInvention Methods for evaluating individuals capacity and establishment of requirements for a job
abstract A practical and improved method for evaluating the cardiopulmonary demands of work processes or tasks is disclosed. The methodology uses three different modes of analysis—measurement of ventilation, continuous heart rate monitoring, and aerobic capacity testing. An individual ( 2 ) while wearing a ventilation device ( 10 ) and a heart monitor ( 20 ) is tested for oxygen used, the work heart rate and the energy required is kilocalories for the activities measured. The data is recorded and compiled establishing the individuals response. The testing permits work to be analyzed and matches individuals capacity to perform the work in a new and cost effective way.
