Preparations of ionic species of amphiphilic compounds in the absence of crystals can be prepared, while preparations of uncharged amphiphilic compounds can be prepared with the compound exclusively entrapped inside the liposomes, or partly entrapped inside the liposomes with extraliposomal crystals.
