abstract An aqueous ink jet ink composition used in an inkjet printhead is formulated with a colorant and a leveling agent that promotes the resolubilization of residual ink deposited on the printhead. The leveling agent is ethylene glycol phenyl ether. The ethylene glycol phenyl ether also functions as a heat stabilizer to reduce fluctuations in composition viscosity.
