abstract The invention provides an adhesive system comprising a blend of resin and a co-adhesive conjugated triglyceride drying oil acting as a internal release agent which is mixed with fibers for bonding composite panels such as oriented strand board, particle board, plywood, MDF, hardboard, and similar panels. The resin is a fast acting bonding material which forms a mat of fibers into a self sustaining panel within a time limit during which a press may be economically utilized. The triglyceride acts slower so that, after the panel is formed, there is enough time to penetrate the fibers to a depth that results in a superior bonding. The conjugated drying oil is a release agent that provides an internal release agent that prevents the composite panel from sticking to the press that bonds it.
