abstract | Alkoxytriazolinones of the formula (I) known for example as intermediates for preparing agrochemically active compounds! ##STR1## wherein R represents an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkinyl group, a cycloalkyl group, a cycloalkylalkyl group, an aryl group or an arylalkyl group, any of which may be substituted, are prepared by reacting n a) thioimidodicarboxylic diesters of the general formula (II) ##STR2## wherein R is as defined above and R 1 represents an alkyl group, an arylalkyl group or an aryl group, any of which may be substituted, with n b) hydrazine, hydrazine hydrate or an acid adduct of hydrazine. n The reaction is conducted i) in the presence of a diluent and, optionally, in the presence of a basic reaction auxiliary, and ii) at temperatures between -10° C. and +100° C. |
