abstract The invention relates to block copolymers of general formula (I) n n -- --O--CO--O--A--O--CO--O--B--!.sub.a -- (I) n n where a is an integer between 2 and 300 inclusive; n A and B, which may be the same or different, are blocks which can be obtained by reaction between a bis(chloroformate) of oligomeric poly(caprolactone) and a polyester residue of formula (II) n n HO-- --R.sub.1 --CO--O!.sub.x -- --R.sub.2 --CO--O--!.sub.y --H (II) n n where R 1 and R 2 , which may be the same or different, are each an aliphatic hydrocarbon residue with a linear or branched chain having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; x and y are integers from 1 to 50, in any possible ratio from 0 to 1; n the groups --R 1 --COO-- and --R 2 --COO-- being randomly distributed in the polyester residue.
