abstract | The present invention provides a method for the treatment of carcinoma. Those carcinomas include those of visceral origin and in particular gastrointestinal malignancies. The method comprises administering an amount of 5-fluorouracil and an amount of interferon which is effective in the palliation of said carcinoma or malignancy. Alpha, beta or gamma interferon may be used but recombinant alpha-2a-interferon is preferred. |
