titleOfInvention Method for treating flushing associated with menopause
abstract A method for treating flushing as a symptom of menopause is disclosed. Specifically, the method comprises administering to a patient in need thereof an effective amount of leucine, or leucine in combination with isoleucine and valine. Preferably the leucine is administered as a dietary supplement. However, treatment may be achieved via manipulation of dietary protein intake. Due to the depletion effect that leucine has on other branched chain amino acids, it is preferred that isoleucine and valine are administered in combination with leucine.
