titleOfInvention Methods and apparatus for analyzing nucleic acid molecules
abstract A sample containing nucleic acid molecules is mixed with a same volume of reagent such as isopropanol to render the nucleic acid molecules insoluble. This solution containing the nucleic acid molecules in insoluble condition is introduced into a flow cell and exposed therein to light from a light source. Scattered light from the nucleic acid molecules is detected by light sensors and analyzed by a computer.
