Cation exchange resin |
abstract |
A new cation exchange resin is formed by mixing phytic acid with a material selected from the group consisting of polyhydroxy polymer, beta -cyclodextrin and gluconic acid, and heating the mixture for about 130 DEG -180 DEG C. for about 15 minutes to 3 hours. A large number of different materials may be removed from solution by the resin including inorganic cations, organic pesticides and nitrogen bases. |
