abstract A transparent article made of a resin and having on its surface the fine unevenness formed by direct transfer of ultrafine particles. An unevenness transfer substrate having the ultrafine particles deposited thereon as a monolayer by using a binder, with a water/oil repellent film formed on the ultrafine particle layer, is placed in a mold, then a sufficiently deaerated fluid plastic resin is cast into the mold and heated to cause curing, then the mold is removed, and the unevenness transfer substrate and the cured resin are separated from each other. Consequently, the fine unevenness formed by the ultrafine particles is transferred to the resin surface.
