Date Aug. 10, 1995Limescale removing compositions contain a low level of surfactant, i.e., less than about 1% and maleic acid and have a pH of from about 0.1 to about 4.5. The surfactant can be anionic, nonionic, amphoteric, or cationic, but is preferably cationic. The composition can be used neat, or diluted, by applying it to the surface to be treated, leaving it to react, and then rinsing.
