abstract The invention discloses novel silicone compounds which contain an amino group on the molecule, and an ester linkage between the two. Compounds of the invention are made by reacting (a) a carboxy silicone, and (b) a hydroxy containing tertiary amine. Compounds may also contain a polyoxyalkylene group. Compounds of the invention by virtue of (i) the silicone group, (ii) the ester group and (iii) the amino group are extremely efficient softeners.
