abstract |
A dianilinoglutacondialdehyde compound is described, which is represented by the following formula (Ia) or (Ib): <IMAGE> (Ia) <IMAGE> (Ib) wherein R1 and R2 each represents an alkyl group or an aryl group and may be connected to each other; R3 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group or a halogen atom; R4 and R5 each represents a hydrogen atom or a non-metallic atom which is required to be connected to each other to form a 5- or 6-membered ring; and X- represents BF4-, SbF6- or PF6-. A process for the preparation of the compound as described above is also described. |
