abstract The universal ventilation device, UVD, of this invention is designed to separate the gas (and bodily fluids) of the victim from that of the rescuer and to deliver a known, adjustable volume of gas at a known, adjustable rate. The UVD can be used without other adjuncts, or in combination with a bag-valve device, or a compressed oxygen or compressed air or gas powered device.
