A method for treating or preventing bronchoconstriction or reversible pulmonary vasoconstriction in a mammal, which method includes (a) causing the mammal to inhale a therapeutically-effective amount of gaseous nitric oxide and (b) introducing into the mammal a therapeutically-effective amount of a phosphodiesterase inhibiting compound; and an inhaler device containing nitric oxide gas and a phosphodiesterase inhibiting compound. |
