abstract The invention provides a composition comprising Formula I as shown below and at least one selected from the group consisting of Formulae II, III, IV, and V as shown below: <IMAGE> Formula I <IMAGE> Formula II <IMAGE> Formula III <IMAGE> Formula IV <IMAGE> Formula V wherein R1, R2, R3, and R4 are the same or different, and comprise alkyl groups containing no tertiary carbon and having from about 4 to about 15 carbon atoms. The composition of the invention is useful as a lubricant stock. A method for synthesizing the composition is also disclosed.
