There is disclosed a process for printing synthetic fibre by transfer printing, which comprises using a printing paste comprising (a) a water-soluble polymer that contains sulfo groups, and one or more than one component selected from the group consisting of (b) a deaerator, (c) an anionic or nonionic dispersant, and (d) a C1-C3alkanol. Tinctorially strong, patterned prints on a white ground of good levelness, good fastness properties and sharp contours are obtained with the process of this invention. The printing pastes are distinguished by good homogeneity, excellent storage properties and simple handling. |
