abstract Highly effective agents for the water and oil repellent finishing of fibrous, in particular textile materials contain at least two components which are aqueous dispersions. One of the dispersions contains a copolymer of a fluorine-containing (meth)acrylate, vinyl chloride and a fluorine-free (meth)acrylate, and also ethoxylated alkylphenol. The other dispersion contains either a copolymer of a fluorine-containing acrylate, vinylidene chloride and a fluorine-free (meth)acrylate and also ethoxylated fatty acids or an oxime-blocked isocyanate, a fluorine-containing oligo- or polyurethane and also an ethoxylated fatty amine (salt). The agents lead to a pleasantly soft handle on the finished textile material and in many cases reduce the bleeding of dyed textiles.
