Process for the synthesis of a zeolite of MTT type in the absence of any nitrogenous organic agent, from a reaction mixture containing water, a source of tetravalent silicon and ethanol and optionally a source of trivalent aluminium and a source of hydroxide ions. The products obtained after heating the zeolite in air to 70 DEG -120 DEG C. or washing with water at 60 DEG -90 DEG C. are useful as selective organophilic adsorbents or as catalysts for the conversion of hydrocarbons. |
