abstract Flameproofed thermoplastic polyester molding material comprising (A) one or more thermoplastic polyesters, (B) a nitrogen-containing diphosphinic acid compound of the formula (I), and (C) with or without an amine, (D) with or without inorganic reinforcing agents, and (E) with or without processing auxiliaries. The nitrogen-containing diphosphinic acid compounds are effective even in relatively low concentrations and thus do not adversely affect the mechanical and electrical properties of the flameproofed polyester molding materials. The latter are used in the production of molded articles.
