A blood collecting needle including a hollow cannula, both ends of which are sharp tips, and a hub for supporting the center portion thereof. The hub includes a sheath which is formed of an elastic body and fixedly mounted on the hub and which surrounds the cannula in a liquid sealed state projecting from the back section of the hub. The hub also includes an air passage connecting the space between the sheath and the cannula with outside air. Flashback can be reliably confirmed, for example, when the tip of the cannula pierces an intravenous vein. |
