abstract | A hardenable copolymer containing copolymerization molecular constituents from a fluorinated monomer and from an allylic monomer, characterized in that: (a) the fluorinated monomer molecular constituents originate from the combination of tetrafluoroethylene and at least one other fluorinated monomer selected from chlorotrifluorethylene, vinylidene fluoride, or a mixture thereof, (b) the allylic monomer is an allylic polyol of formula: <IMAGE> in which R1 is H or CH2OH, R2 is OH or CH2OH, and R3 is CH3 or OH, with the proviso that R1 and R3 cannot be simultaneously H and CH3, and that it contains: (c) molecular constituents from an allylic or acrylic monomer with a fluorocarbon chain of formula: <IMAGE> in which n has a value of 3 to 12, R4 is H or CH3, and <IMAGE> and the process of making such copolymer and paints and varnishes containing the same. |
