abstract A method of producing fibers which are electrically conductive and which also exhibit anti-bacterial properties. The method involves treating the fibers in one or more baths which contain a solution of copper ions and an anti-bacterial compound such as iodine. The resulting fibers with the absorbed copper and iodine ions exhibit the desired properties when dried.
