A new crystalline form of magnesium valproate obtained by reacting valproic acid with magnesium alkoxides in alcoholic solution is described. The new crystalline form is endowed with enhanced bioavailability and may be used in a particularly pure form to prepare pharmaceutical compositions which are useful for treating Central Nervous System pathologies. |
