This invention provides an ink additive comprising at least one compound selected from a polymer represented by the following formula (I) and a polymer which contains unsubstituted or substituted alkylene oxide unit having a total carbon number of 4 of more and has an average molecular weight of 400 or more. n n HO--Z--R (I) n n (wherein Z comprises 4 mols or more of ##STR1## unit and --CH 2 CH 2 O-- and/or ##STR2## or 10 mols or more of only ##STR3## R represents a hydrogen atom or an organic group and average molecular weight of the polymer is 400 or more.) |
