abstract A dental bridge having the general configuration of a tooth or teeth, with projecting lateral arms or wings which are gradually tapering lateral extensions of the bridge itself, conterminous with the bridge and formed of the same material as the bridge. The bridge is molded from a heat-polymerizable matrix formed from a resin selected from the group consisting of methacrylates, acrylates, and mixtures thereof. The matrix includes 60-80 wt % of inorganic filler(s). The lateral arms or wings use chemical bonding to engage with the proximal and/or occlusal surfaces of the teeth on either side of the gap in which the bridge is to be inserted.
