Date Mar. 5, 1990.A heat transfer image-receiving sheet including a substrate sheet and a dye-receiving layer formed on at least one surface of the substrate sheet. The dye-receiving layer of this heat transfer image-receiving sheet is composed of a resin containing a polar group and/or a salt thereof in an amount of 2 to 2000 equivalents per 106 g of the resin. With the dye-receiving layer comprising the resin, a heat transfer image-receiving sheet, which can form thereon an image having a high density and good preservability, is provided.
