An aqueous coating composition capable of forming a film having excellent water resistance, high hardness, excellent processability and excellent shelf stability, and the coating composition comprises: n (a) 30 to 65 parts by weight of an aqueous acrylic resin, which is produced by copolymerizing monomers (i) to (v): n (i) 25 to 35% by weight of at least one aromatic vinyl monomer, n (ii) 25 to 45% by weight of at least one alkyl (meth)acrylate, n (iii) 1 to 15% by weight of at least one α,β-monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid, n (iv) 5 to 25% by weight of at least one hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate, and n (v) 1 to 25% by weight of at least one N-alkoxymethyl (meth)acrylamide, n (b) 20 to 50 parts by weight of an aqueous amino resin, and n (c) 5 to 25 parts by weight of a polyol, n provided that the total amount of the above (a), (b) and (c) is 100 parts by weight. |
